  • Great question. There are two forms of media: paid and earned. Paid media is advertising – money spent for digital ads, paid mentions, commercials etc. Earned media, on the other hand, is unpaid.

    So, earned media requires gaining genuine interest from reporters, editors, and other media professionals. It requires a thoughtful and well-crafted approach to strategically positioning your story and expertise into the larger news landscape. And through FTLF, I teach you exactly how to do this for yourself.

  • As I say to all my clients, earned media coverage (unpaid) can never be guaranteed – and shouldn’t be stated otherwise by a responsible publicist.

    Unfortunately, neither you nor I own The Wall Street Journal (a pity). We can’t force a reporter to publish our story. BUT what we can do is strategically position our story into a larger, timely conversation that readers will want to consume. Therefore, the media will want to publish and circulate it.
